November New Arrivals!!
Posted by Inky Paw on
We are excited to announce our November new arrivals that came this week! It was a lot of fun to unpack and see all the goodies. Here are some of the new items, among many others.
Special Edition TWSBI 1791 Ink
The TWSBI 1791 ink series comes in 6 vibrant colours that are inspired by the Chinese masterpiece "Dream of the Red Chamber" (紅樓夢), which was written in 1791, giving the series its name. The Chinese names of the ink represent buildings described in the novel, where the characters live in. Since there is no meaningful direct translation of the names in English, only the names of the ink colours are used.
The 1791 ink is available in individual 18 ml bottles, or the full set of 6 colours packed nicely in a cardboard presentation case.
The wrap around the case shows the 6 colours, with their Chinese and English names listed. The bottles are made of frosted glass, with a red plastic cap. Each bottle feels solid and has a substantial weight in hand.
They are only available for a limited time. Don't miss the chance to pick one up while they are here!
Maruman Spiral Bound Notebooks
Maruman makes one of the greatest notebooks available on the market today. They are functional, sophisticated and unassuming. The notebooks feature lightweight and flexible black plastic book covers, with nice and smooth fountain pen friendly paper. It is a pleasure to use for daily writing.
This is what the dot version looks like. Each page has a date and title column, with light grey dots throughout the rest of the page.
The notebooks come in line, dot and grid rulings. The lined version comes in 6.5 mm, 7.0 mm, and 8 mm line spacing, which is awesome because no matter how big or small your handwriting is, there is a good spacing for you.
They are available in A4 (210 x 297 mm), A5 (148 x 210 mm), A6 (105 x 148 mm) and B5 (250 x 176) sizes at our store.
Also worth mentioning is Maruman's N197A Today's Act pocket size (A6) notebook. It is a special ruling that is perfect for to-do lists and organizing your daily tasks.
Tomoe River Looseleaf Paper
Finally, we have the popular Tomoe River paper. This is one of the best paper available for fountain pens, especially if you like the sheen in ink. Made in Japan, the paper is best known for its smoothness and ability to show the sheening property of a range of fountain pen ink. It is lightweight and extremely smooth to write on. If you've ever used tracing paper, this paper's texture is comparable with it, except it is of a better quality.
The paper comes in a pack of 100 looseleaf sheets, available in 3 sizes: A4 (210 x 297 mm), B5 (250 x 176 mm) and A5 (210 x 148 mm). They are great for general writing, drawing, and ink swabs/reviews.
